International Islamic Centre for Reconciliation and Arbitration (IICRA) has held its administrative meetings represented by 25th Executive Committee meeting, 27th Board of Trustees meeting, and 13th General Assembly meeting at the Address Hotel – Dubai Mall, United Arab Emirates, on Sunday 3rd Jumad Al-Ula I 1441 AH corresponding to 29th of December 2019.
The Executive Committee meeting was chaired by the representative of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), Mr. Imad Al-Din Al-Fateh and Professor Jassem Ali Salem Al-Shamsi has chaired the Board of Trustees and the General Assembly meetings, in the presence of Ministry of Finance representative in the United Arab Emirates (the host country of the headquarters of IICRA) Mr. Yusuf Muhammad bin Hajar in his capacity as Deputy Director of Public Relations and International Organizations, and in the presence of Chief Executive Officer of IICRA, Mr. Rami Sulaiman Ibrahim, who in turn submitted a quarterly and annual report on IICRA’s activity, and he also presented the proposed work plans for the year 2020. Further, the meeting has facilitated the precise and minute discussion on all the agenda of the meeting and at the end, the activity and future work mechanism were presented to deal with the current challenges of IICRA, God willing. The members of the Board of Trustees and General Assembly praised the paradigm shift experienced by IICRA at all levels, thanking the executive management for its achievements, and calling on all IICRA members to continue their unyielding support for IICRA as it has become one of the most important infrastructure institutions in the Islamic financial industry and its legal arm.
It is worth noting that IICRA Board of Trustees composed of 15 members representing the largest Islamic financial institutions across the world, and its Constitutional General Assembly included more than 74 members representing all Islamic financial institutions and governmental and non-governmental bodies supporting infrastructure institutions in the Islamic economy.
